Swedish Visiting Cake

Super easy, super yummy. However, if you're expecting a light and fluffy cake, you'll surely be disappointed. If you're expecting a dense, pound cake-like feel, again, you'll be disappointed. I would compare this to a frangipane cake, made with almond paste, much like the description says. It has a wonderful chewiness to it, which doesn't necessarily sound appealing in a cake, but you just have to try it to see what I mean! Thumbs up!

  2. Oooh now I wanna try a frangipane cake if it's similar to the Swedish Visiting Cake. The Swedish Visiting Cake was a surprise thumbs up for me and Hubs. Glad you liked it too!

  5. I've never baked a frangipane cake, but I'm going to have to explore that. Although I'm pretty spoiled by how very easy this one is to bake. Your cake is so pretty and I'm glad it was a hit with you. Thanks for baking along with me this week. (love your blog name, btw, so many meanings!)
